Monday Morning Rambles

Even though this was a short week it seemed to be one of the longest weeks.  Friday finally got here and I was more than stoked to get the weekend started.

Friday night I helped Chris feed the calves and they are oh so cute.  They are getting close to 7 weeks old now so its time to start weaning them off the bottle and more on the feed and grass.

After feeding the calves I headed out to meet a good friend of mine, Laurel for supper and a movie.  I don't get to see her very often and it is always fun to catch up.

We grabbed Mexican and then headed to watch the movie "A walk in the Woods"  If you are looking for a good funny comedy, this movie is for you.  Two old men decide to walk the Appalachian Trail and it tells of all of the funny stories that they encounter.

Saturday morning I got up and fed calves for Chris because he had to work.  After feeding calves I was so excited to get to shoot ballerina pictures here on the farm.  I have some crazy ideas, but this is one of the first ideas that actually came to life and I was so excited to get back to the house to get them edited.

After taking pictures for over three hours we were all exhausted.

Saturday evening we headed over to one of our best friends house to grill out steaks and chicken and we hung out around the bon fire just chatting and getting to konow some new friends.

This was the first fire of the fall season and it makes me so gitty to actually wear a hoodie and get warm around the fire.

Sunday morning we spent the morning at church and then I headed up to the mountains to spend the afternoon with one of my best friends.  We grabbed a quick bite to eat at one of our favorite BBQ joints, did a little shopping and the took a walk at Moses Cone.

It was a wonderful weekend and I hate to see it end, but it's back to the grind on Monday.

Hope everyone had a great wekend!

  2. I know they are so cute! We raise dairy steers and have a meat business where we sale dairy meat. It has such a good flavor. I love your link up and can't wait to do more!!
