Monday Morning Rambles

This has been a crazy week and this weather has been up and down.  Monday night we got about three inches of snow but it's been so cold that it didn't go anywhere.

On Wednesday we got another 8 inches, which is a lot for us so everyone around here was freaking out.  It was so pretty to walk in the nice fluffy snow and enjoy the beauty and a day off of work.

I was trying to take these magical snow pictures and all the horses wanted to do was to dig down in the snow and eat grass.  I even chased them like a crazy person and all I got was crazy looks.

The barn is always gorgeous in the snow and of course my husbands tracks coming home from work at 6 in the morning.  We are only 30 minutes from his job and it took him over an hour and a half to make it home

This was Gen's first winter on the farm.  She is showing off her dirty self. She loves to roll int he mud as much as she can and with her being white it of course shows up very easily on her.

I love living on the dirt roads and the peace and quiet that comes with it.  There were even little kids sledding down the big hill past our house and were flying.  Its just a long walk back up the hill!

I was getting ready to go to the barn to feed and Opy wanted to go so I got him ready and he was rocking my scarf for me.

Ernie always enjoys hanging out on the horses while they were eating.  He really thinks he is part dog.

On Friday night I headed out for a girls night.  It has been several months since I've gotten to hang out with these ladies and we just pick right back up like no time has passed.  We ate at an awesome local restaurant and headed to a local hang out spot and listened to some great music.

Being my old person self, I left at 10pm on a Friday night (yeah I know I'm old) and headed towards the house.  I knew I had to get up at 6 in the morning and I require a lot of sleep to function.

Saturday afternoon I went to a beautiful wedding shower for a lady that I work with.  Saturday night we picked up something for supper and headed to the house for a laze evening.

Sunday wasn't much more exciting.  We headed to church, ate lunch with our church family, and came home and napped all afternoon.  I did manage to feed the animals and make chicken and dumplings.

I think I got enough sleep for the next week!

    1. They are so refreshing to hang out with the gals, not that I don't love hanging out with my husband, but nothing can beat a gals night. I LOVE the snow and it's so perfect to take pictures in. Did ya'll get any snow? I think Opy could be the next GQ model!
