Monday Morning Rambles

I have been looking forward to this weekend for awhile.  It was the first weekend that I didn't have any plans.  It was a weekend to spend on the farm enjoying the life we have been blessed to live.

Friday night was had two new arrivals to the farm.  We got the new calves in and got them settled. Kate was coming home for the weekend so we went and grabbed a bite to eat at the local Mexican restaurant.

Saturday morning we got up and I fixed breakfast while Chris and Kate went to check on the calves. When we got done eating it was time to move some steers around.  Once we go everyone in the new pasture we had to stop by the feed mill and grab some more milk replacer.

Then I took Chris to meet our new puppy.  My cousin and her family raise feist and we decided to add a new member to the family.  He won't be ready till next weekend but we are looking forward to welcoming him to our family.

After we got back from visiting with the new puppy, we took off on the horses for a nice afternoon ride.  If felt good to get back in the saddle for a little while.  We picked up a hitch hiker (my cousin) on the way home so she could take a ride with us.

Then it was off to enjoy a nice supper with the inlaws and just hanging out on the farm.

We took a drive around the farm and checked on everything. It was a beautiful sunset and a nice cool evening.
