The Letter Link-Up | Two Years

The Letter Link-up | Mr. Thomas & Me

Dear Chris,

It's hard to believe that we are coming up on 2 years of marriage.  It's amazing how time flies.  I really just feel like yesterday we were planning the wedding and I was walking down the aisle and we were jetting off for a week together.

I feel like we are just getting started together and other times we have been married for 50 years.  I enjoy the nights that it's just me and you going out for dinner. I know we can never agree on a TV show and 2 TV's are a must in our house, but it's still nice to sit down and watch a show together even if one of us doesn't really like it.

I'm looking forward to moving into our first house together.  It will be like getting married all over and starting a new part of our lives.  I'm thankful that your parents have let us crash at their house, but I am looking forward to a place of our own.  If the weather would cooperate we could get there faster.

I'm looking forward to many more years of marriage with you.  We are still getting to know each other each and every day.  There are some days where I have to scratch my head at something and other days you do something that makes me love you even more.

Looking forward to many more...we have survived two the next 50 can't be to bad!

Love,
Sarah

  1. Living in your own home together brings you closer together. It is a great feeling. & my hubs and I are the same way about tv shows. He HATES that I love trash tv & I can not stand the sci fi / supernatural crap he watches. So 2 separate tv are a must for us too.

    1. We are so looking forward to it!! We had marriage advice cards at our wedding and several of them said to have two TV's in the house. I'm glad to know that we aren't the only ones!

  3. Oh TVs. We only have one, on purpose, and some days it comes down to a rock paper scissors decision of who's show gets to be the show because one of us love Nat Geo and the other Bravo and there's NO overlap in their content! :) I can say that my repertoire has been expanded because I've started to enjoy (or at least prefer) certain shows over others!

Having a place all your own is magical and stressful and surreal. I STILL am waiting for someone to show up at our door and tell us to get out because we're done playing house in their house.

    1. We agree on a few shows but only like two or three. I love reality TV and he calls it garbage and he loves westerns and John Wayne. We can't really find a happy medium so to save sanity it works better with 2.

I can't wait to have our own place and get settled in and finally decorate!!
